Undergraduate Study
Bachelor of Business Information Systems
Australia is an advanced and highly technological nation requiring an educated, skilled workforce. Because of the constant need to develop, manage and use information strategically and securely, business information professionals are in demand and have access to employment in just about every Australian industry.
Bachelor of Business (Sport Management)
Deakin is a renowned leader in sport management education. With a Bachelor of Business (Sport Management) you gain specialist sport management knowledge together with a broad business degree. You can combine your studies with sport management with other specialist areas such as marketing, management or accounting.
Bachelor of Commerce
Deakin’s Bachelor of Commerce is a flexible business degree with a diverse range of study areas, which lead to increased career opportunities. A common first year gives students a taste of subjects before choosing from 17 areas of specialisation. A Business Scholars Program is also available.
Bachelor of Laws
Deakin has established a reputation as a centre for excellence for commercial law, which is an important and challenging area of practice and one that is changing rapidly. Our law degree and combined law courses are designed principally as qualifications for entry to the legal profession. Regular compulsory work experience placements, together with practical legal skills training, means our graduates have the practical experience – not just a degree.
Bachelor of Management
The Bachelor of Management is designed to provide contemporary management knowledge and skills. This versatile business degree offers 18 major sequences including a range of business study areas together with tourism, journalism, media and communication, politics and political studies.
Bachelor of Property and Real Estate
Deakin’s Bachelor of Property and Real Estate is Victoria’s only 3-Year course with Certified Practising Valuer (CPV) accreditation. Developed in close consultation with employers and professional bodies, the course provides knowledge and skills in property development and valuation, market analysis and property economics, with major sequences in sustainability, business or built environment.
Postgraduate Study
Deakin Graduate School of Business
The Deakin Graduate School of Business (GSB) provides Deakin University’s major postgraduate business programs including the Master of Business Administration (MBA) courses and an Executive Development program. GSB academic staff conduct innovative research in a range of fields and are actively involved within the business community.
The Deakin MBA
Established nearly 30 years ago, the Deakin MBA is one of the largest and most prestigious business administration programs in Australia. It is designed for mid-level managers who want to extend their knowledge to advance their careers. A distinctive feature of the Deakin MBA is the option of selecting residential units. These intensive one-week programs are held at the Deakin Management Centre in Geelong. Deakin’s MBA currently holds a 5-Star rating by the Graduate Management Association of Australia.
