The Master of Public Health undertakes a comprehensive assessment of all determinants of health, including broader social and environmental factors in addition to physical risk factors. It enables health professionals to practise in a variety of settings, including health services and community organisations. Students will study evaluation processes and research methods such as policy analysis, economic evaluation, epidemiology and qualitative methods. The practical skills focus is in health promotion programs, and students will integrate research, analytical and practical skills in the evaluation of contemporary public health issues. A major goal of the course is to promote the proactive role of public health professionals in coordinating relevant community resources.

Bachelor degree in health, welfare or aged care discipline; or GDip or GCert in health, welfare or aged care discipline and 3 years' relevant work experience
Students may exit with a Graduate Certificate in Public Health.
