This qualification is part of the Visual Arts, Crafts and Design Training Package. It utilises the skills and knowledge base of Certificate III and allows for in-depth research, experimentation and critical thought in a variety of contexts allowing individuals to take responsibility for their own work.
Subjects you can Study
Core: Follow health, safety and security procedures; Originate concept of own work and conduct critical discourse; Select and apply drawing techniques and media to represent and communicate the concept; Research and critically analyse history and theory to inform artistic practice. Year 12 or equivalent; or mature age entry. Folio and interview may be required.
Life after Study
Artists conceive and create visual representations to investigate, respond to or communicate a concept or idea.
Craftspersons design, make and repair objects which have both functional and artistic qualities, working in wood, metal, glass, leather, ceramics, textiles and other materials.
