This distance education course provides the opportunity for Registered Nurses to undertake postgraduate studies that specifically focus on the perioperative, emergency, intensive care, and coronary care nursing environments. As well as the nursing roles relevant to these technical and complex acute care settings, the course addresses an understanding of management issues and practices in these areas.

48 credit points in one specialisation or 24 cps in one specialisation - if completed the UNE Grad Cert in Acute Care Nursing
Current employment as a registered nurse and hold the Bachelor of Nursing degree; or relevant 3-year diploma; or UNE Grad Cert in Acute Care Nursing
Provides an opportunity to pursue further study by articulating with the Master of Nursing.
