Course Description
This qualification is from the Electrotechnology Training Package. It provides competencies to select, install, commission, fault find and maintain data processing, communications and control aspects of systems. Students will learn about systems used for monitoring and control of access, surveillance, safety and the effective operation of manufacturing, buildings, structures, premises, precincts and personal computers and networks.

Core: Compile and produce an electrotechnology report; Assemble, set up and test personal computers; Use engineering applications software; Support computer hardware and software; Install and configure a computer operating system and software; Set up and configure basic local area network; Apply OHS practices in the workplace; Dismantle, assemble and fabricate electrotechnology components; Participate in development and follow a personal competency development plan; plus more and electives.
