Course Description
This dual award enables students to combine the social science and policy studies available in the social science program with the study of the visual arts and culture, and art administration provided in the art theory degree. Graduates will be prepared for careers or postgraduate research studies in policy and administrative areas within the rapidly developing arts and culture industries. The professional contexts subjects in both degrees will enable students to develop career-related skills and experiences, while the theoretical/historical contexts subjects in the art theory and the social science courses will provide depth of knowledge about the arts and society.

Structure
There are 3 major components to the Bachelor of Art Theory: Historical and Theoretical Studies; Professional Contexts; and Electives. The Bachelor of Social Science comprises a core set of courses in Social Science and Policy, Computer Applications, Social and Economic Theory, and Research Methods and Applications, and a sequence of courses that form a social science major.
