The course aims to provide nurses and other health professionals with the opportunity to make a successful transition to paramedic practice by producing graduates capable of: becoming reflective practitioners who can analyse complex problems and implement a plan of action that is clinically, ethically and logistically sound; developing a sound knowledge base in order to support the clinical decision making process; demonstrating positive, caring attitudes towards clients and the members of the community; and operating as an effective member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
