Course Description
The Master of Clinical Research builds on the foundation and specialist knowledge developed during progression through the Graduate Certificate four foundation subjects and the four specialist subjects of the Graduate Diploma in Clinical Research that have been completed to further develop high level analytic and problem solving skills using techniques acquired during the course through the completion of either a Clinical Research Project (25 points) or Clinical Research Minor Thesis (50 points). The size of research project is dependent on whether 50 or 75 points of elective coursework subjects have been completed previously. In undertaking the research project or thesis, students will develop their ability to acquire and create knowledge in the in the area of clinical research through the independent design and implementation of a research project, test analytic and problem solving skills and independent critical thinking and develop the ability to write scholarly papers and present research findings in a peer environment, such as a specialist conference or seminar.

Structure
The Master of Clinical Research (by coursework) requires completion of 150 points of coursework and research project/minor research thesis. The Graduate Diploma in Clinical Research requires completion of 100 points of coursework. Fifty points are achieved by completing 4 core subjects: Study Design in Clinical Research; Responsibilities and Ethics of Clinical Research; Managing Clinical Research Projects and Teams; Basic Clinical Research Tools.
